An online and offline campaign by the Center for Liberalism & Democracy and Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats aimed to educate and mobilize voters, especially the youth voters, to get out and vote in the May 2022 National and Local Elections in the Philippines.
Divided into three components, the campaign includes a series of educational videos on the importance and power of voting, a roundtable discussion on the Philippine elections and youth vote, and free transportation for residents of select areas in Tacloban.
Moderated by Ilocana sociologist Ash Presto, the roundtable discussion took a deep dive on the ongoing pandemic and urgent issues that must be addressed, the dynamics of ‘youth vote’, qualities and characteristics to look for in leaders to elect, and the future after elections. Panelists include UP Diliman’s Dr. Aries Arugay, UST’s Dr. Rey Burns, GoodGov PH’s Dexter Yang, and Binibining Pilipinas 2021 second runner-up Meiji Cruz.
